The home of our hotels, Sant Antoni de Portmany, has a multitude of things to offer you. Our municipality is the perfect mix of leisure, beaches with crystal-clear waters, nature in its purest state, top-quality gastronomy and tradition. In this article we would like to bring you closer to two villages in the interior of the municipality that are well worth a visit.

Sant Mateu d’Albarca
This small, picturesque village is located on a beautiful agricultural plain in the north-east of the island. It is a village with a strong tradition of the countryside, particularly grapes, which can be seen in the large fields of vines that can be seen on the way to the village. Its wine festival at the end of the summer brings together many people to taste the wines resulting from the year’s harvest.

Sant Mateu is a perfect village for walking or cycling, enjoying the peace and quiet and nature, a perfect place to take a break.

Santa Agnès de Corona
The tiny village of Santa Agnès is one of those places where time seems to have stood still. The village consists of a straight road that leads to the small square, next to a beautifully proportioned church and a couple of bars (we recommend you try the omelettes at Can Cosmi).

One of the most beautiful times of the year in this village is during the almond blossom, at the end of January, as the surrounding fields are full of almond trees that blossom at this time of year and turn the whole countryside white, a spectacle.
